During photography class this year there were a lot of projects that were my favorite but one really stood out. My favorite project that we did was the glitch photos. What I really liked about this project was how we got to mix the code around in the text files to make it look like an entire new photo. A project that we did that I learned the most skill from would be the research project we did on a photographor of our choice. What I liked about it was how we got to find out about the person and how they like to take pictures. A project that I did where we had to use the skills that we learned from that project to another assignment would be when we learned how to use photoshop. We had to use this in pretty much all of our other projects because we needed to know how to use it and how to open our photos. A project that we did that reflects me as an artist would be the selfie projects. This project reflects me as an artist because it shows a picture of me, some photos that I have taken, and the pictures that I used incorprorate some of my favorite things I love and enjoy to do.
My photography class sent several days on creating light paintings. How we created these images were we used a camera and kept the shutter open. While the shutter was open we used glow sticks to create a bunch of interesting unique images.
Forced perspective photography is a picture that finds a way to trick the viewer. This can be done by making the objects appear smaller, larger, or disoriented to the viewer.
Glitch photography is when photos are moved around to make a new type of image, while also creating a pixelated image to them. How I created this was by taking a plain old any day picture and using the app Text Edit to manipulate the photo by moving around its code.
Some of the most valuable things I have learned so far is when you're doing a project on photoshop you have to make sure to unlock your background in the beginning or it won't come out right in the end. Something that I've learned that I used in other assignments was to unlock your background.
A project that I look back on and wish that I could improve on is the selfie project. What I wish I could improve on it was making the pictures that I put in it to blend in more, so that there wouldn't be some some harsh lines in the middle or next to the pictures. Something that I would like to explore more of in digital art would be how to crop photos together because I've always wanted to be really good at that. Also, photoshopping things on peoples bodies of their pictures to make parts on them bigger or smaller. Also I want to figure out a way to improve my photo taking and make them come out clearer. Those are the things I have improved on, wish to improve on, and wish to change about digital photography from this year so far. |
